When trace listener fails further trace listeners are not processed in category


As a developer,
I want my LogEntry's to be delivered to all the configured destinations
so that messages are captured even if an error occurs for one destination.

Agreed; this just bit me for 2 hours because an email listener was configured but the app.config had no system.net block to set the smtpclient's settings. had the OTHER listeners been processed, i might have noticed that one of the listeners wasn't working, instead, it appeared all of the listeners were failing. I finally discovered to add a debug listener to the logging errors&warnings section to discover that the email listener for a category was failing.
